In addition to comfortable seats, passengers will be able to enjoy menus from Michelin-starred chefs, as well as receive service similar to private jets. This includes five-star service such as private airport transfers, lounge access and gourmet dining on board, as well as entertainment and internet connectivity. In addition, the airline plans to provide concierge and chauffeur services from private jet terminals, as well as tours at luxury resort destinations. A home registration service will also be provided. There will be no check-in terminals at airports, eliminating the inconvenience of long lines and delays. While all seats will have premium fares, the airline will also offer market-competitive pricing, rivaling business class fares from international airlines.

History of Beond
BeOnd is an airline of the Maldives, headquartered in the capital of the Maldives, Male. Founded in November 2022 by aviation veterans Max Nilov and Tero Taskila, the company plans to begin commercial operations from September 2023. It is a joint venture between UAE investment company Arabesque and Maldivian hotel company SIMDI Group. It is the world’s first all-leisure airline, with a focus on tourism and travel. BeOnd’s plans include connecting the Maldives to various cities in Europe, Asia and Australia, with plans to expand its fleet to 30 aircraft to serve over 50 destinations in over 25 countries in the next 5 years.
- Story
Currently, air is the only way to enter the Maldives from other countries. Despite the presence of the flagship carrier Maldivian, international airlines dominate Velana Airport due to the growth in passenger traffic and the greater number of destinations available. The rapid growth of tourist visits has become a challenge for the island nation, and to overcome this challenge, three aviation industry veterans — Max Nilov, Tero Taskila (former Lufthansa executive) and Sascha Feuerherd — decided to create a new airline. This led to the creation of a joint venture between UAE investment company Arabesque and Maldivian hospitality company SIMDI Group. - Start of Activities
BeOnd was officially founded in November 2022. Starting in September 2023, the company plans to launch operations with a fleet of three Airbus A319 aircraft. In addition, four more aircraft are planned to be leased from one of the largest aircraft leasing companies in the world, BBAM. The first aircraft is expected in September 2023. In 2024, it is planned to replenish the fleet with Airbus A321LR and A321XLR aircraft. The company aims to serve 52 destinations in 26 countries, carry approximately 1.5 million passengers and have a fleet of 30-35 aircraft over the next five years. Initial destinations include Dubai, Delhi, Hong Kong, Milan, Munich, Paris, Riyadh, Singapore, Taipei, Vienna, Zurich, with possible destinations to Tokyo, Seoul, Shanghai, Perth, Melbourne and seasonal routes to Helsinki and other Scandinavian countries. - Services
BeOnd offers a unique onboard experience. The Airbus A321 cabins will be equipped with 68 fully horizontal seats instead of the standard 220, which will provide a high level of comfort for passengers. Features include Michelin-star menus, private airport transfers, lounge access, gourmet in-flight dining and live entertainment. Concierge, driver and luxury resort tour services are also available. One of the features is the ability to check in at home, which avoids queues and delays at airports. Despite the premium level of service, BeOnd will also provide competitive fares comparable to business class on international airlines.
